gerryruiz is a travel & destination, event, portrait and nature photographer based in Tacloban City, Leyte, Philippines.
He heads calle Zaragosa Productions, a documentation and special events, multi-media production group.
His gerryruiz photoblog was accorded the 2010 Best Photoblog Award by the Philippine Blog Awards on December 12, 2010.
A Broadcast Communication graduate of the UP College of Mass Communication, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Q.C., Gerry was formerly with ABS-CBN Channel 3 Cebu as a Producer-Director, PRTV12 Tacloban (Station Manager, Producer-Director) & San Miguel Corp. (Communication Specialist for Vis-Min, Corporate Communications Office, SMC Cebu).
He is a Past President of the Rotary Club of San Juanico, District 3860 and former Editor-in-Chief of the Governor's Monthly Letter publication of the Rotary International District 3860.
He is the "immediate past president" of the Camera Club of Leyte and Samar (CCLS).
Gerry loves music and plays the Korg and Yamaha keyboards when bored. He was a former band leader of the show band The Assembly based in Metro-Manila.
Gerry belongs to Batch ‘73 of U.P. Diliman’s Upsilon Sigma Phi. Proudly.
